Outlined files in Ilustrator

Good morning,

I am working on this packaging mechanical.
The client wants 2 files: 1. Illustrator file/ 2. An outlined file for printing

Never done this 'outlined file' before, not sure how to do it.
According to the client it's a very simple process but he can't remember how to do it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Select All.

Then Type (menu)>Create Outlines.

Converts all type to paths. Work on a copy because the text is no longer editable.

All type has been outlined. I couldn't do it your way because the file contains some images from photoshop (pictures).

Do I have to convert the pictures to outlines as well??

Also, the images have not been rasterized.../

Line art is already built from descriptions, not rasterised bits and they're not likely to want you to convert images from Photoshop, since that would cause them to look unusual.

As Blue Velvet said, make sure that you do this on a copy. I usually append "OL" to the copy to signify outlines, just prior to the ".AI" so I can change the text as text.

The nice thing about creating outlines of text is that you can fill and warp the text like any other line art.
