Recently Outlook has started displaying a message "On My Computer data is currently being imported" Checking

the status box indicates no progress after 48 hours - the process is still running (see screenshots). Is there a fix to this issue?

Are you converting from old Outlook to new Outlook?

I think Microsoft wrote this import using the slowest method possible. Maybe it's using Visual Basic or AppleScript or something?

You can try letting it run overnight.

I don't think new Outlook will support Rules for POP mail so I had to switch back to old Outlook (Legacy Outlook). I don't know how long Microsoft will support Legacy Outlook. I might have to switch to Apple's Mail.app. Legacy Outlook search is always broken since it use Apple's Spotlight.

I've let it run for two days straight, and no evidence of any progress. Using Apple Mail now works fine and it's free.
