Once in a while, I have an output a issue with Mac mini 2014 connected to my 2010 samsung monitor via HDMI. I have attached a picture to show what I'm talking about. Is there anyway of fixing this?

I've seen something similar on my own late 2012 Mini (connected to a Viewsonic 2770 display via HDMI) -- different tint, but same "overall" color-miscast problem.

Rebooting cured it.

I'm not a display expert, but I would -guess- that something isn't "synching up" correctly between the display and the Mac (either in a boot situation or wake-from-sleep situation)?

You could try a different cable, see if that makes a difference.

But again, for me, a reboot fixed it.
A minor irritation, unless it begins to happen regularly...

Had the same problem with 2012 Mini. Turned out to be a bad display cable.
