I have a Core2 and just got a new HD Television. Is there any option out there besides Apple TV for streaming my video content from the Apple to the TV. Something that would use a Firewire or USB port to either HDMI or Component video. Does not need to be wireless, just want to use the Mac to play videos and DVD images stored on the Mac

The digital video signal on the iMac mini-DVI port is HDMI-compatible;
all you need is the Apple mini-DVI-to-DVI adaptor and a DVI-to-HDMI
cable or plug-adaptor. There's no audio signal on the mini-DVI port, so
you'll have to run a separate (analog or digital) cable from iMac's audio
output to the TV. http://monoprice.com is a good source for everything
except the Apple-proprietary mini-DVI-to-DVI adaptor.

As I worked out on my own, after starting my thread, make SURE you get a male to male, 24+1 pin (dual link) DVI-D to HDMI cable. This can be seen by looking at the picture I posted in my thread.
