Outputting PS3 to i7 iMac

Hi all,

I've just got a 27in (i7) iMac. I've got a Mini-Display Port to HDMI cable and would like to be able to out the PS3 to the iMac. I've connected them up using the mentioned cable, set the PS3 to 720p and am pressing Command + F2 but nothing is happening.

What am I doing wrong here?

You need a device putting Mini DisplayPort out, the MDP to HDMI cable is obviously only being able to push the signal from MDP to HDMI, but not the other way around. Take a look at Atlona: http://www.atlona.com/DisplayPort-and-Mini-DisplayPort-Adapters/
