I was one of those enthusiasts that lined up at the 5th ave flagship store in the middle of the night. Even though I was super tired, I had a blast -from the wait to buying it in store to taking it home to playing with it all day into the night.

I'm kinda envious that you got to experience launch day so I'm curious as to what it was like around the world.

Care to share your experiences?

Got it the day before so launch day was a normal day, albeit with an iPad to play with.

I woke up excited, of course. Got my car to the city and arrived there precisely at 8am - the line was turning the street, and they were starting to celebrate, greeting everyone. I waited in line exactly 1 hour -- at 9am I had a very nice representative that sold me my new iPad 3G 64 Gb. Now I tried calling Apple 6 times today to cancel my pre-order (5 dropped calls after waiting 10min on each call) and on my last call I got a representative that made me wait 27 minutes on the phone and since I had to get back to work (15min break...) I asked him if he could take care of this for me and he said yes - but up till now nothing's done. I will be needing to call them again... I'm pretty pissed about this.

How about some pictures being posted of people waiting in line outside of Apple Stores in each of the 9 countries where it launched on the 28th.
