Is there a simple way to overclock display on the M1 Mac Mini? Display is shown as unknown, possibly due to the adapter and there is no option for refresh rate. Monitor is Qnix QX2710 which overclocked to 120hz under Windows.

Looking at several reviews for that monitor, it actually can't go above 90Hz or so without artifacting, so it can't truly overclock to 120Hz. You'd be better off picking up a newer monitor that is actually capable of 144Hz or more, especially given the limited connectivity options of that QX2710 monitor.

It used to be possible to overclock displays using SwitchResX on Intel Macs. However, at the moment this doesn't work on Apple Silicon Macs according to the developer of SwitchResX. It is unclear if some workaround for that will be found.
