Overclocking results for macbook pro under bootcamp

Hi all,

I've tried to search for a familiar topic, but haven't found one, so I thought I'd make one where people can post what they've managed to overclock their GPU's to under bootcamp with a macbook pro and offer results, and the amount of time they've been using it...

I'm currently at GPU 415 RAM 330

If I take the ram any higher it crashes, but I've took the GPU up to 430 with no ill effects other than some increased fan noise....

The actual temperature of the system (barring tools) doesn't feel any hotter, and I get really good results from playing F.E.A.R. at the standard detected settings (mostly medium and high) at 1024 x 768

Anyone else want to share results then go right ahead!

I know its naughty and i'm risking my neck, but I'm loving F.E.A.R. at the moment !

i'm curious as to how far my 1.83 core duo chip can be overclocked.

dont' want to do it now, but in 2009, when my applecare runs out....

This isn't the CPU's, just the graphics card, and the sweetest thing is, to my knowledge, apple can't find out you've clocked your chips...

The overclock as standard for XP is "per log in"...once you log out, or reboot into OS X, it goes back to it's normal clock speed..
The CPU doesn't log its speed, nor does XP, so you're perfectly fine warranty wise to try it AFAIK...

For referance, it's well worth it, I've gone from crappy results at 800x600, to silky smooth, performance at 1024 x 768

From my own experiences, just because an overclock doesn't make it feel hotter doesn't mean it isn't roasing inside. Overclocking without getting temperature readings is very risky, especially in a thin enclosure like the MBP.

From my own experiences, just because an overclock doesn't make it feel hotter doesn't mean it isn't roasing inside. Overclocking without getting temperature readings is very risky, especially in a thin enclosure like the MBP.

Usually the temperature sensors inside control the fan speed. So usually when you overclock it the fans will kick on more too cool it down.
