I prefer my workstation class computer that is designed to be stable and dependable actually be stable and dependable but to each their own.

The only overclocking that I am aware of on the Mac Pro is to raise the FSB from within the Mac OS X operating system. If you want to do any sort of real overclocking by raising the multiplier or FSB from within the BIOS/EFI go buy a Windows computer.

You can't, not even the fsb on a 2009. You can however get a pc with say a 4760k in it a get a vastly faster (up to around 4.5ghz) and equally stable experience for about $600.
