I have seen this is possible on windows based desktops. Has anyone tried to overclock MBP yonah chips? Or Meroms in the same regard?

I have a 17" CoreDuo and was wondering if it was possible.

Thanks

i don't think its possible in Mac OS without some serious warranty-voiding, but you might be able to do it through the BIOS in Windows.

It is possible, but i wouldn't touch it if i were you. The MBPs are already hot enough as they are. If you overclock it, expect the fans to be going insane all the time, and battery life to be reduced dramatically. I think keep the overclocking to desktop machines.

Windows doesn't have a BIOS, the BIOS is a piece of hardware on most computers, but the MacBooks do not use a BIOS, they use EFI.

In short, not likely possible.
