Anyone else had this problem? My MB seems to start overheating, and the fans start going, when I watch videos over a minute or so long on youtube. It doesn't do the same, if for example, I'm watching a .avi in VLC or quicktime. Annoying!

That's normal behavior. Overheating would be if the fans DIDN'T come on. The MacBook I owned did the same thing.

As Macjay said, the fans kicking in is normal and will help prevent overheating. As far as why this is happening, the flash plugin (which YouTube uses for its video) is probably eating a lot of system resources.

SMCfancontrol alleviates my paranoia. Have settings for 'normal', 'movies' and 'unsavoury' CPU usages, done like dinner.:D
