Have had an issue with overscan since day one with my Samsung LN40C650 LCD TV.
I connect my TV to my MBP (mid 2009) via an MDP/HDMI cable from Monoprice. Black bars appears on all four sides. I am mirroring the displays (even without mirroring displays I have this issue).
Nothing that I have attempted on both the MBP or TV rids me of these bars. I've done some research online and have found no solutions.
Any ideas? I have a ton of movies ripped to an external, and I'd love to play them via my MBP, but those bars are annoying as hell, especially when the film itself already contains black bars on the top and bottom.
