I’m not sure if this is a bug or is meant to be an improvement, but since installing the beta, 3D Touch has been frustratingly easily to trigger. Even if I try to long press with the lightest touch on the “firm” setting, it seems to set it off.

Any idea what this is about?

You can change this in settings.
Settings>Accessibility>3D & Haptic Touch>Touch Duration

Just tried it, but same result. I use the lightest touch and it still goes off. I had to hard press before which is what I’ve always expected. I rarely get the long press result.

Apple is actively fine tuning the pseudo 3D Touch thing for the upcoming haptic Touch on newer iPhones. So you can see this more drastic results when trying to use old 3D Touch. Considering iPad gets essentially the same result on home screen as if iPad could do 3D Touch, I think what you see in beta might not last long.
