MP 7,1 OWC Accelsior 4M2 and SoftRAID

I finally took the plunge today and ordered a new Mac Pro.

I currently am still using my 2012 5,1. I have never used and RAID configurations.

Part of my plan on the new Mac Pro is to install a 4TB OWC Accelsior SSD to store most used client files, photos and graphics.

My question is, can I install the Accelsior into my 5,1, configure it as RAID 0 on the 5,1, copy my files to it and then transfer the Accelsior to the 7,1 (and retain the RAID 0 configuration)? Is there a better way to do this? Not sure if SoftRAID lives entirely on the Accelsior or if it needs to be configured/formatted on the 7,1 specifically?

That should be fine. SoftRaid 'lives' on the given system disk & is where its driver needs to be installed.
The RAID disk set is the same on either platform.

I purchased the Sonnet card instead and never tried it in my 5,1.
