This is a 3 TB fusion drive machine, so please correct me if I am wrong here, but this has a 3TB HDD and a 128 GB blade SSD on the motherboard, these 2 components are what make up the fusion drive correct?

Well I have had a failure of the 128 ssd on the motherboard and need to replace it. (I know it failed because I was getting prohibitory symbol, the data recovery shop told me and it also will not mount or respond in disk utility).

Anyways it seems to be impossible to find an SSD replacement made for this machine, I am wondering if the Aura ssds from OWC will work. They appear to be the exact same form factor and size as the ones for the '13-'15 MPBR. So i would think they would work in the machine, would need to fix the split fusion drive after installation.

Anyone ever done this or have any thoughts about this being done?
