For those wondering where to buy their Mac Pro memory, just a quick thumbs-up for OWC.

I have a 2008 Mac Pro that runs the 800Mhz FB-DIMMS and has a notorious fussiness about DIMM pairings. Recently a single DIMM failed; easy to diagnose - red LED lit on the riser. OWC swapped that without question and entirely at their expense. No more red LED, but my Mac wasn't recognizing that pair of DIMMs.

No amount of swapping sticks around would get it recognize everything.

Another call to OWC and they insisted on replacing all the DIMMs in this machine "to be sure". This is memory I bought a bit over 4 years ago now. Again all at their expense.

Machine is back to full-function, with nothing more than a couple of phone calls required.

No, I have no affiliation with OWC, but it sure is nice to see a company stand by their claims in a non-hassle manner, and they deserve to be recognized for that.

Even though OWC isn't always the cheapest shop around, I find their support and service to be excellent as well; that is a good reason to buy from them.

Trouble is that recently there seem to be a higher failure rate with their RAM and enclosures than others, so you need that customer service. I would rather not need the service :).

I don't know of a RAM vendor recommended here that doesn't have prompt and courteous customer service. OWC seems to go out of their way to support the MAC community, however.

Have only positive experiences from them as well. Had trouble with USPS which was shipping my Accelsior. OWC solved the problems with them and I got my SSD after some weeks of hassle between OWC and USPS.

Nice people and competent as well, makes me a returning customer :)
