Blackmagic results give a consistent 3100 speed for both read and write.

Amorphous Disk Mark gives a more detailed measurement:

For a comparison the internal SSD is around 5600W-4880R and here is its Amorphous:

which shows that in sequential r/W the internal is faster but much to my surprise in random r/W the external is faster.

Love the weight of the solid metal finned case which I hope is going to work well for thermals and the screws hold the SSD tight in the case with the heat transfer putty on it.

Late here, but what made you choose the WD SN850X instead of the Samsung 990 Pro?
