Anyone using OWC memory sticks in their 2012 mac mini i7 2.3? Any issues?
Just wondering as I am planning on buying an ssd and enclosure from them and want to keep shipping cost down (NZ)
I know Crucial is cheaper but they want $30.00 for shipping.

Many thanks

I wouldn't think twice about using OWC memory. I've used it in many of my Macs and it's always been rock solid.

I buy all my ram from OWC.. granted, the systems are a 09/10 Macbooks and 09/10Mac minis.

This ram is for my new 2010 Mac mini and my brothers 2009 Macbook.

Purchased 16 GB kit for my Mac Mini 2011 and it had one bad stick, kernel panics, returned it and I am waiting for a replacement… Fingers crossed...:(

I've used Crucial for 20 years (they were Micron before).

Never had a bad stick.

Multiple PC's, Dell, Compaq, home-built, Mac Cube, iMacs, MacBooks, PowerMacs, PowerBooks, MacBook Pros...

I just installed a 16gb upgrade from OWC in my brand new 2.3 yesterday.

Works flawlessly and runs like a champ. Couldn't be happier with it :)

Just installed 8G ram in my brother's MBP. Bought the ran from OWC. This will be my 5th ram purchase from them. It's all I use.

$30 for shipping? If you must have it delivered on Saturday you are going to pay a lot for it no matter where you buy RAM...

I live in New Zealand :(

I wondered about where you lived when I read your post but your profile doesn't indicate where you live. Sorry 'bout that...

OWC is usually my first choice when it comes to RAM. But Crucial has many excellent reviews and when I recently bought RAM Crucial was $82 vs. OWC's $115. So I went with Crucial for the first time in 17 years.

If OWC's shipping is more reasonable than Crucial you won't go wrong with OWC.

Shipping may be expensive but you live in a beautiful and relatively sane country compared to the crazy ol' USA. I figure that you are coming out ahead in the long run... ;)

Me too in NZ - get the memory from OWC, it's less than USD 4.00 for shipping and add the difference (for freight shipping a SSD from the US) to buying a SSD locally, I come out cheaper every time.
