Gonna pull trigger on Mac Pro 2019 with 16 core cpu and 32GB ram which will be upgraded to 192GB myself later.

I notice that NEMIX is about $450 cheaper than owc which is though much cheaper than Apple.

is OWC quality superior than NEMIX to justify that price difference?

I have been using NEMIX in my Mac Pro 7,1. No issues at all. I have also used OWC in the past. There seems to be no difference in quality. I would buy Nemix again if I had to. Save the money, get the Nemix.

I got four 32 Nemix sticks giving me 160. I had to send one back. But after the replacement all is good.

I've been using them for more years than I care to remember. Memory is guaranteed for life. I never had a stick fail.

That was the only time for me after upgrading ram since about ‘93 in about 7 different Macs. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but they were good about it and quick. I’d imagine there’s a fail rate that’s standard.

I think OWC wants to reap in some points for building up some reputation in the past years. Technically I could not find a reason to justify the much higher price. Went with 192GB from Nemix and it works perfectly. Better to do that and have money left to get a fast SSD on top of the RAM.
