So I bought a GB of ram last summer and it has since failed. I've had a little trouble with the communication and getting an RMA, partly my fault.
I know my RAM has a lifetime guarantee, but the RMA that I got comes along with this little tidbit: "Please package the Product back inside its original product box with all original accessories".
For starters, I thought that OWC was a company that would take care of the shipping on their failed products. Perhaps not? Anyone have any experience with OWC? Also, how important is having the original box and wrap? Obviously it is a "generic" response, as there are no accessories for RAM, but I don't want to be faulted with the RAM failing because I shipped it wrong.
I do know I need a proper static bag, it just won't be the same one it was originally shipped in.
I can call, but I wanted to know what I can argue and what my situation is before I call.
TIA guys!
