I can’t get my hdmi display or anything else to work with the dock though it charges just fine my 3rd gen 12.9. Anyone have any experience or thoughts?

Some, but not all, OWC USB-C docks are compatible with iPads.
Which OWC USB-C dock do you have?

If the OWC site states that your dock is compatible with iPads, have you contacted OWC tech support to see what they might suggest?

No, it is plainly showing in the "Compatibility" tab on the product info page that the USB-C dock is NOT compatible with iPads (or any other tablet)

Looks like the USB-C travel dock, which is much smaller, can work with your iPad
The larger USB-C dock comes in two variations (beside color), with either mini DisplayPort (not for iPads) or HDMI, which shows there as usable with iPads.
BEST CHOICE, I think, is to wait for information from OWC. Their tech support, in my experience, should be good, and you should find out if your iPad can hook up to an external display.
However, from what I see on OWC site, I think that swapping to the HDMI model may be what you need with your iPad.

Yeah I know but a lot of docks don’t state compatibility but still work with iPads and other apple devices. Yes I know the travel dock works with it but it’s not what I have which is the HDMI version of the usb c dock
[doublepost=1545783853][/doublepost]Actually there seems to be come confusion as I have the hdmi version which does support iPads but not the one I have. https://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/TCDOCK11PGD/

OK, you already have the HDMI model. That should be the one that works for you.

Let me know how OWC support responds to your question...
