Has anyone had any experience letting owc upgrade your iMacs with either an esata port or adding a 2nd internal SSD? I'm planning on getting a 27" i7 and want to add a 2nd SSD but I'm looking on the refurb store so I'm not going to pay full price and then pay apples insane markup on ssd.

I'm also considering doing it myself as I've built my own pcs for years. But no one part in a self built pc is work $2k like the iMac haha so I'm a tad nervous on that front.

Do it yourself, there are plenty of good guides. If you've been inside a computer before, it shouldn't be that hard.

I'd like to add an SSD to my new iMac too. I work on PC's all the time, build them tear them apart and everything. But I am hesitant to open up an iMac. I had no problems upgrading the HDD in my MBP, which was the first laptop I've ever opened up before.
