please do me a favor...what is the thickness of the silver part of the imac on the side? and the overall thickness?

Actually, the 20" silver part of the computer is .94" (2.39cm); the 24" is 1.24" (3.15cm).

That information is found on the apple store imac gallery. I would guess the black would be a little more for each. (maybe the 20" is 2" at the hinge, and the 24" is 2.5"?)

I would think it would be less than 2" for both models, as the original iMac G5 was about 2", the iMac (fall 2005) was 1.99" I believe, and this one is probably even thinner if anything.

edit: might have messed that up a bit, maybe the 1.99 was the 17" iMac G5 and the 20" G5 was 2.2 inches (found that here) but still.
