im in the phase cutting some expenses in my house and i just bought a Z ultra this week (upgraded from nexus 5). I only had the nexus 5 for 10 months and i really enjoyed it for the most part. There were some things that drove me nuts on it though but now was the time for me to move on and i sold it.

I also have ipad air and the first question that came to my mind was whether i could sell the ipad now if the ultra Z could fill the void. I know a 6.4" device wont give the same experience as a ipad air, but im curlous id i could live without my ipad.

Anyone here own both a huge smartphone and tablet and find one redundant?

Sell the air! The new iPads are coming. Can you give a mini review of the phone?
I have had a good time using the iPad mini owning an iPhone 4 which is much smaller obviously. However the Note 4 is coming in a few days and while it is not 6.4" it is like a mini tablet replacement for me, besides the gaming which is still nice on the iPad mini.

How about simply putting away the iPad Air for a week to see if you can live without it? Nobody here knows how you specifically prefer use your devices better than you and nothing short of you trying to change yourself will give you better advice.

Just lock it up and no matter how strong the urge to use it, try doing everything on your Z Ultra. In a week you'll probably have your answer.

Personally, battery life is the only reason I have a tablet . If I had a 6.4" phone that could get me through an entire day regardless of my usage, I would not have a tablet.

I may dump a tablet if the 4.6" Z3C can get me through a day with my usage .

Well I have a note 3, 8.0 and 12.2 and have use for them all at different times of the day.
