I don't have iOS 10 on my iPhone and never really used the message app so I'm not sure if the P2P payment services are working or not, I assume not.

Anyway it's been well documented that Apple are working on releasing P2P Apple Pay. Does anyone think or is there any coding in the beta to suggest that P2P Apple Pay could be announced on the 7th and released in the GM, or in a iOS 10. update?

Was it mentioned in the WWDC keynote as a new Messages feature? (I don't remember if it was or not and would have to rewatch it)

If it was mentioned as something coming. Then either it will come with the official release as a new service or later in a major point release (10.1, 10.2 and so on.)

Other payment providers were announced for iMessage, however Apple Pay P2P wasn't. I would think that it would be strange for Apple to support other payment providers on their platform without allowing their own.

They may still be working out the details but I was surprised p2p Apple Pay wasn't announced. Maybe later this year or early next year in 10.x
