I am looking into buying a canon digital rebel XT and i was wondering if these packages were what i want, i will be taking alot of pics of the beach and stuff, but every oncein awhile maybe a football game or hockey game here is one specific package i was looking at:

Basically that package though comes with a cheap, extremely low quality lens that is not a wide angle, and doesn't get in close enough for sports either.

Good advice. But beyond that, why could someone buy a kit for $599 when the body sells for $684 at B&H (before rebates)? Do consumers really think that dealers are making that much profit off of each sale? Guess again.
