iPad Pro Pad & Quill question for experienced users

I’ve ordered a Pad & Quill case that should be here tomorrow. It looks fantastic! This far, I’ve noted the main objections for the case are the adhesive and lack of protection for the sides.

I’ve been using a basic clear back on my new iPad Pro 11 for the last few days just to get the job done, and it make me wonder, is it possible to keep that clear backing on and add P&Q over that? I thought it might be too thick, but P&Q advertise that the their product works with the keyboard folio, so in theory it seems as though it would work.

Any thoughts from those that have experience with the P&Q?

By clear back, do you mean non folding clear TPU case or clear skin? The only hurdle you will have is the material adhering to the 3M adhesive that P&Q uses to attach the device to the case.
