Hi all,

After updating to Pages 6.3, my document keep crashing every single time I try to open it.
This popup when I open the file, then both options – "Keep sing file" and "Use package" – would lead to the crash!
I'm using iMac 2015, macOS Sierra 10.12.6, and my document is 768MB, which contains a lot of hi-res images. Before 6.3 update, everything was working fine...
Any help would be much appreciated!

Is it just this one file? Various large files? All Pages files you try to open?

Can you revert (so you can access your files until this presumed bug is fixed)?

Do you have another Mac that you haven't updated already? If so, try to open the very same file in the prior version just to be sure it hasn't been corrupted for any version of Pages. If successful, you have several options. One to test the hypothesis of larger files being the issue would be to break it up into a series of smaller files and seeing if you can open them up as individual pages/chapters. Then copy paste them back into a larger file and save in the new version. Maybe try a few pages/chapters at a time (saving, then opening what was just saved) to see if you can find some file size limit that might cause the problem?

Many thanks for your reply! Only this large document is crashing, others (smaller files) are working fine.

I'll try it in another Mac and update the result then.
