Why is it Pages not compatible with my iOS 6 iPad 2?

Does the App Store not have a "Download last compatible version" option? (I don't know what does/doesn't work anymore since I never use the store.)
Oh that's strange. What jerks. Well, depending on how dedicated you are, I imagine you could download any version of Pages using this method http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/12/25/how-to-download-older-versions-of-ios-apps/. I can confirm this method works for any app I've ever tried it with, so I see no reason why it wouldn't work with Pages just the same. It seems complicated, but once you do it a few times, it's really not.
