Today, I uploaded a partially completed essay into iCloud, so I could finish it during my break at university on my iPad.

I completed my essay, got back to my dorm to open it for printing, and I got this crappy message on iCloud.com:

I thought, oh never mind, I can just email to myself from my iPad and open it that way. But now whenever I try to open to file in Pages on my iPad, the Pages app just crashes!

What's all that about?! Sort it out Apple.

I strongly advise anyone using Pages on their iPad, or iCloud to sync documents not to continue doing so. I've lost a good couple of hours hard work there.

Sort it out Apple. I pay good money for your products and expect them to work as you say they do.
 
I've never had that problem and I use Pages + iCloud every single day. It sounds like an isolated incident that Can be fixed by removing Pages from the Multitasking bar and performing a soft reset of your iPad.

Also, if you are so upset that you feel further action is needed, then report the bug to Apple.

Hello.

I called Apple and was on the phone for over an hour trying to solve the problem... the best they could tell me that it was just a corrupted file.

I seriously hope it's just a isolated incident!

Me too. Like any cloud service, it's awesome when it works but sucks when it messes up.

lolol both Pages and iCloud sync works perfectly for me.

I wold recommended deleting and reinstalling pages.
