Can someone please recommend a paid calculator app that works without ads? Reading reviews of some apps show that several apps are not playing nice with ios11. Thanks in advance.

Is that a Calculator app with an $8.99 in app purchase of a calculator?

Search for "42s" in the iOS app store. It's an extremely good emulation of the classic Hewlett Packard 42s real-world calculator, now updated to 64 bit for iOS 11 compatibility. Note: like it's real-world counterpart, it is RPN (reverse Polish notation) entry.

For a more traditional algebraic entry calculator I like RCL-59, which is an emulation of the classic TI-59 scientific calculator.

Not sure how long the sale lasts, but at least for now, the full paid version of PCalc (not the lite version) is available for both iOS and macOS for $0.99... this is 90% OFF from the original price.

IMO, the best dollar you will ever spend on an app.
