When I pressed the button to open the LCD screen of my SR MBP, I noticed that the paint at the silver edge around the button has been worn off. I have been taking very good care of my less than two months old machine. I don't know what caused the paint to wear off. Could it be caused by rubbing? Are there any other places that could potentially has this sort of problem? Any way to present such problem from happening? I heard reports that there are some problems with the palmrest of previous models due to sweat. I already got protection in that area.

You better quit using it like a tool and put it under glass in a museum.
