Might be useful if you would, like, explain what about the app seemed terrible to you? Otherwise your post was useless, the equivalent of just posting "post+1".

Most of my complains have been explained before - the terrible interface, the sluggishness and delayed reactions to my swipes and taps, the bad messaging GUI...

it's no different than meebo requiring an account to have all chat clients signed in.

That is a very valid point, however Meebo manages to do what Palringo can't....work properly and without incident every single time. It's so good, their portable web interface, that I still use it for IM on the go. Over AIM, Palringo, and so far MobileChat

Well Mobilechat came out yesterday and it doesn't work properly at all; I've yet to connect with it...I found Palringo to be ok but ditched it because of the ipod thing. Might have to go back and see what's up with that since Mobilechat is a turd at the moment...

Edit: Finally connected to MC. We'll see if it is as problematic as some have said.

MobileChat is having server issues at the moment the developers have been working non stop since it was released to get the servers back in order. http://tumblr.twenty08.com/ is their website.

I was tempted to originally download until I read that I needed a Palringo account to use the app. I will stick with:

http://www.beejive.com/iphone/

I had not heard of beejive but I read in the mobile chat thread somebody mentioned it I tried it and I like beejive. I use yahoo so the aim one as far as I know wont let you log into yahoo, that stupid mobilechat still doesnt work for me.
