Ok...very annoying. When I have Backgrounder enabled with Pandora, and I get any type of SMS or alert, Pandora locks up. The home button doesn't work and it won't allow me to exit Pandora. The only thing that I can do is reboot the device. What is causing this?

Thanks.

that is very weird. i am not to sure what the problem is, but i would delete backgrounder and re install. good luck.

I installed Backgrounder this morning and have been testing it with a lot of apps, including Pandora. I've had zero problems and this is now my new favorite app along with Tlert.

I can't think it's a resources issue. I've run 4 apps in addition to the Apple apps simultaneously with Backgrounder (2 of them using GPS) and it never skipped a beat. I'd reinstall.

Hi I have the same problem.
I dont think its so much the resource problem because I am able to multi task with no problems. It only happens when there is an incomming sms or a phone call while pandora was playing. Strangely pandora doesnt crash it just locks the screen and cannot be closed. I am on 3.1.2 with blackra1n and cydia. I have Backgrounder, Makeitmine, Callme, and winter board installed.
The only way to unlock my screen is to reboot the phone.

Do you guys have Sbsettings installed? I have been using backgrounder and a radio tuner app numerous times then recieved texts and run into the same issue: Pandora or whatever is stuck on the screen when you close messages.app. I usually just use Sbsetting to stop the Pandora rather than rebooting my phone. Hope this helps.

I find using music controls from cydia instead of backgrounder for pandora way better. It basically makes pandora as functional as the ipod app as you can change tracks at the lockscreen and use double tap to pause or move to the next song. Its a free app and you only have to pay if you want to disable/enable some of its features. Also i found a neat trick in disabling artwork from the current pandora song showing up in the lockscreen. When you attempt to disable it in the settings theres like a 1 second delay before it grays out, so i quickly slide to disable before it grays out.

OP: Did you ever find a solution to the problem or a work around? I am having the same problem with Backgrounder, except it has frozen on Tweetdeck, and other apps that I was running.

I am also running blackra1n with cydia.

I actually restored my iPhone not long after this post. I was getting pretty crappy battery life with it jailbroken.

Good luck though!

Installing backgrounder and proswitcher and reinstalling seemed to have done the trick. Does jailbreaking really make that big of a difference on battery life? I can understand in the case of using backgrounder where you have apps constantly refreshing.
