I only have the basic (free) Pandora account and am wondering if purchase the Pandora One option, will my iPhone app adjust the quality to 192k based upon my Pandora account or is the iPhone app limited to the lower bitrate? Also, will it try to play the 192k bitrate over 3G if the "higher quality" option is enabled?

From the Pandora One FAQ:

Pandora mobile apps and in-home devices currently do not support High Quality 192Kbps streams, although we're very interested in expanding High Quality audio options at some point in the future.

So basically, you're paying to get rid of advertisements and unlimited use if you use it exclusively on an iPhone.

wow until they bring at least 192kbps to iPhone I won't even think of giving them a dime. glad I didn't pull the trigger on this preemptively before looking into whether or not the higher quality applies to iPhones as well.
