Hey guys, I haven't jailbroken yet but I heard of a wifi issue. Is this a jailbreak thing or an ios8 issue?

Still waiting for Pangu OSX support:(

and before anyone ask; no, other than my work PC, I do not have easy access to any other windows based computer and I'm not about to install iTunes etc on my work PC.

I'm in the same situation. I'm hoping the OS X version is released sooner than later.

I know you can do it that way, it's just not worth it me to setup a VM just to JB. I'm going to wait until a native Mac version is available.

It was definitely worth it for me. I was thinking the same line as you, until I got impatient lol.

i'm glad i stayed 7.1, this whole ios8 jailbreak is a nightmare. literally update after update

Well if you ever want to use 8.1 jailbroken I suggest you update, as 8.1.1 patches the JB.

You'll be waiting longer than expected. I highly suggest you jailbreak before Apple releases 8.1.1, because that will patch it and then you will have no chance.

There are threads about doing it on a mac. You basically run it in a VM, its very simple.

Or you use Bootcamp and install Windows on a separate partition. That's what I did on my old 2008 black MacBook. I installed XP on it and JB my 5S and iPad last night.

I've been trying to keep close eyes on the iOS8 jailbreak, but I'm unclear what bugs are left. Can anyone tell me what I'd be sacrificing by moving to 8.1 (from a jailbroken 7.1.2) and jailbreaking? Does touchID and passcode work? Find my iPhone? What else?

TouchID is working, passcode is working, and I just checked Find My iPhone, and I'm looking at it on the map. ;)

If you're going to want to use iOS 8, and j/b, you might have to decide sooner than later. Even when 8.1.1 is out and it nullifies the current j/b, something might come further down the road.

So, it's a choice you'll need to make.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm looking into it right now. I was hoping to wait until Springtomize was updated and a Mac version of Pangu is out, but it's looking like, to be safe, I'll have to at least update to 8.1 before that.

eh, phones running the best it ever has with pangu 7.1 so i'm probably gonna keep it as is until i upgrade to the 6s

I wouldn't say that. I'm actually kind of surprised it came as fast as it did. Expected a few issues, and none of them were show stoppers for me. :)

i would. thread after thread of issues with each update that comes out, just gonna hold off until the 6s

I have no issues. I jailbroke my 5S and iPad Mini last night. Just have to wait for some of my mods to be updated. The main thing I have been able to add is unlimited skips for iTunes Radio. Anything else can wait.

Tried to run 1.2 update over existing JB. Times out :( Well fresh restore it is then.

Why would you do that? Just run the 0.4 update in Cydia. The 1.2 just rolls that change into the jailbreak itself.

Oops, too late. Update didn't show in Cydia for 1.2. Already had .4 installed last night. Didn't think to reinstall it. Well fresh restore is nice still.
