What is the purpose of that icon and can we get rid of it after we JB?

Supposedly for whatever updates Pangu pushes (though I'm sure they can/will still be posted in Cydia). There was a link I saw somewhere that stated how you could remove the icon, but it was in Chinese, and I don't remember where I even saw it.

In cydia, under installed packages there's something listed as "Pangu Loader for IOS". No clue if that's related to the icon or not, but I know I wouldn't remove it just to find out.

According to this link http://ioshacker.com/how-to/remove-pangu-app-icon-homescreen-ios-8-jailbreak you can remove it as I stated above.

Interesting. I figured if there's a needed update it would be done via cydia.
I'll just stick it inside a folder for now cause I don't want to mess up anything.

I imagine its more if they (Pangu) release an update, it's available right away, as they make it available via their tool, versus waiting hours/days for it to get pushed to Cydia. I just threw it in another folder as well, so I don't see it.

Went into iFile on iPhone 6 and deleted pangu.app. Respring and everything still works just fine. No use for Pangu app anymore!
