Hello, I just updated a MBA 2020 pre M1 to 10.6.3 and have been getting these almost every day. It happens, bc I close my MBA and then it automatically shuts down for some reason? I'm relatively good with computers/Macs, but how do I fix this? I included 2 screen shots.

Thank You

I'm having the exact same problem here! I'm using the i3 model of the MacBook Air 2020. I thought I would be safe just updating the security firmware😭. I wish I knew how to fix this.

I talked to Apple Support and of course they asked me upgrade to 12.2. So I did. Haven't had the same problem as of yet. I can't barely even tell the difference between the two OS's. Good Luck.

I'm so glad that you got yours resolved. It seems like whenever the Mac is supposed to go to sleep the bug would instead force the Mac to go into the black screen of death, so I just have to be mindful of that and keep it from sleeping. Otherwise Big Sur is super stable for me.

Same here! I'm hoping to stay on Big Sur for the time being so hopefully an update gets pushed through in the next few days. Are there any temporary fixes through changing certain settings or anything like that?

What I did was change my sleep timer to 30 minutes and that seems to have fixed the issue for me.

Been happening to me too on my Intel 2020 Macbook Pro on Big Sur 11.6.3. I recently installed Safari 15.3, so that's my best guess as to why this has suddenly started to happen.
