Panoramic Photos and Photobooks

I am starting to build an iPhotos Photobook. I have a few photos that are photomerge panoramic photos that I am trying to insert into the Photobook. When inserting, it crops that photos severely and I lose my panoramic view. Is there any other way to maintain the original size of the photo within the photobook. Any advice/assistance greatly appreciated.

Copy & Paste the panoramic image into a new image, of the correct size for iPhoto Photobook ?
