I finally received my new 250GB Hard Drive in the mail today, and I would like to install Panther on it so that I can start my PowerBook from it when I'm in my room since the internal drive is so slow. Unfortunately, I have the 19.95 upgrade Panther discs and cannot find my original install discs that came with the computer. It won't let me install then on the second drive. What can I do??

You could use Carbon Copy Cloner to make an exact copy of your hard drive on the new drive. Then just delete the stuff you don't need.

Make and duplicate

Make an image of your hard drive as it is now using either Disk Utilities or another Hard Drive cloner software, then install that disk image onto that 250 using the cloner software or Disk Utiliti8es restorer where you can pick and image to restore a disk from.

Well, I tried CCC but I want to do a clean install, and it won't let me erase and install onto the drive because it has a newer version (10.3.3) and I'm trying to install 10.3.0.

I want to do a clean install will all the additional xCode and developer system.
