If you're a developer with legal access to Panther, you have access to the Apple forums for developers.

If not, you shouldn't be running Panther.

i figured out how to use it in disk utility and i would like to say that if you think im the only one with an illegal copy of panther you my friend are the msot naive person in the world.

What other people are doing is not the point. If you have an illegal version, you should take it off.

I woudn't worry about it, there are always people who get angry when others do this kind of thing, it got especially heated with the leaked Safari versions.

My opinion is if you are registered with MacRumors, you really shouldn't complain to people about it. Rumors do more damage to Apple that people installing beta software, and MacRumors often gives links to articles and threads (such as the ThinkSecret ones) detailing Panther. Also it's like arguing about the death penalty, abortion, etc, everyone gets angry and no-one gets anywhere.

Now I have a question for the Jaguar beta testers;

I had only just found macrumors as Jaguar was in testing, maybe 2 months before it went GM, therefore I don't know how many builds there were, can someone tell me? Also were these builds released on CD?

Here is something to think about -

Apple will not - and i repeat - WILL NOT - attack you for using panther. You are pointing out things and bugs most of the time.
What they will do is shoot you if you discuss stuff under the NDA - basically anything to do with developing in it. Even then, if you are pointing out copmlexities in the new cocoa APIs or their changes then they will take it on board. Just don't push it.
They are being nice right now. If this gets out of hand (inflicts on their image (pun intended)) then we will start seeing action.
Just shhh about it and enjoy it.

Actually better - pay USD1500 - get ADC and have them send you the CDs.
