Parallel booting Bootcamp's XP

I have installed Win Xp on my MBP using bootcamp and it works great. Today I decided to give parallels a try. It works as advertised but I could not find much use for it unless it could boot the XP installation that I did under bootcamp.

I dont want to have two different instalations of XP on a single machine, for me it just doesn't look too practical. I am still not convinced that parallel is for me since I dont see a need to jump back and forth to windows but if I do I want to use the windows that I already have in there.

Can parallel boot from bootcamp's windows xp? and if so, how do I set it up.

BTW, Xp is currently installed on a fat32 partition.

This function is in the latest beta versions of Parallels, not in the release version. It basically treats Parallels and native (Boot Camp) boot as two hardware configurations as one might see in a docked laptop.

Some people have had success with this in the newest beta, but I haven't been able to get it to work. I have Windows XP on its own hard drive as the 4th hard drive in my Mac Pro and the choice to use the boot camp partition is grayed out for me during installation.

Then again, I have enough hard drive space to suffer two installations and I've been amazed at how good Parallels is. Coherence mode is fantastic with Office 2007.
