Hello,

Using the Parallels Desktop program.
It's version 13.
Keep getting msgs that it is out of date and I should buy their new version 14.

Would like to switch to Mojave, but there are several KB articles from the Parallels
folks saying, in effect, that Mojave and Parallels 13 is "problematical"

Never anything definitive, though, as whether version 13 will or will not,
function "well" with Mojave.

It's a pricey product, and I really don't want to purchase their
latest and greatest version 14 if I can avoid it.

Anyone using Parallels 13 with Mojave ?

works ? (what doesn't ?)
caveats ?
etc. ?

BTW: anyone notice and Bootcamp speed differences with Mojave ?

Thanks,
Bob

I was in the same position. And while I like Parallels, I don't like their greedy upgrade policies. And yes, version 13 will work just fine in Mojave.
BUT all of that being said, I took the plunge for version 14 based on reviews I read about speed increase, and I can tell you that the speed increase under 14 is significant. It feels, if not twice as fast, almost that much. This includes startup, shut down, opening and running Windows applications, and printing large documents. So if speed is important to you I hate to admit that v.14 IS worth the upgrade.

I was running PD 12 on my iMP (bought in May) for several months without issue on HS then Mojave, I just ignored the nags to upgrade. I'm going to pile on with what mreg376 wrote, DL'ed a trial of PD 14 and was a bit blown away at the newfound performance of the latest version, signed up for the Pro Edition. Happy with that, even with Parallels offering a 20% discount for BF/CM...

I used version 13 of Parallels until yesterday or the day before on El Capitan, High Sierra, and Mojave. It works perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever. Version 14 does seem much faster (and I did upgrade to it), but 13 works perfectly fine.

I ran version 13 on the beta of Mojave for a long time. It works, but is a bit slow and clunky. Not to mention it doesn't conform to system dark / light modes. Version 14 however fixed all of this, and sped up my VMs considerably for OS tasks like startup, shutdown, and updates.
