Yes I was invited to the Beta....

Parallels 4 seems to be MUCH more User Friendly, and easier to use...

HOWEVER..... I have 2 OS's I use on Paralells: Windows XP, and Windows Vista..... When I loaded Vista a million pop-ups came up at me saying my Ethernet Card, and my Floppy drive, as well as the CD Drives hardware could not be found.... And then after I got that resolved and I had been playing around with the Virtual Machine, it crashed and said Windows/Paralells encountered a Fatal Error (not BSOD) I am sure they will resolve that issue....

XP Seemed a LOT faster, and I didn't have as many problems with it as Vista... the only interesting thing is: When I turned it on for the first time Windows gave me a pop-up saying that because the computer has gone under a massive amount of Changes it needs to be re-activated...

Overall it's a step in the right direction for Paralells, but there is work that needs to be done to improve some of the features.

Yeah same here on both accounts. I was trying to use my Parallels 2 & 3 keys but obviously to no avail, thank goodness it was sorted in the end :) Hopefully we get discount when 4 is finally released too ;)

Actually if you read the Conditions of the Beta program... you get a FREE copy for being a Beta Tester....

Im in the beta too. However, aren't you breaking the EULA that states you shouldn't share what you see to the public? or was I dreaming when I kinda skimmed through the agreement.

Does one knows if a guest Windows XP has to be reinstalled in order to run on two CPUs?

The new Parallels RC build has been released today (still closed beta) and its pretty awesome.
nice 'n low CPU usage, they made it good :) WinXP is really fast, and I'm really glad. Its really never been that user friendly. can't do better, really.

Cheers to the Parallels Team!!

Virtualisation really got to another level imo :)

Any idea how "older" PC games (i.e. NFS 4) run now...?

I was so happy I got it running pretty well in Parallels 3 with XP...! :)
I so adore that game, and occasionally just have to play it. In Boot Camp with XP SP3 it won't start, and VMware Fusion 2 just has very bad performance issues with this game.

I wonder how Parallels 4 will be.. better or worse...

It could be better, it could be worse. I understand so far, the RC version is "faster" and more stable. I also notice that in VMWare, I can play COD4 but in Parallels, I get errors running it. So there is still work to be done.
