Hello all,

I'm having problems getting Parallels working with windows 7.
I can get the OS to boot up but it fails when installing the Parallels tools.

Does anyone have this working at all?

Regards,
Simon

Wonder what I'm doing wrong then?
I just can't get the tools to install? It just keeps coming back with an error?

What build are you using do you know?

Regards,
Simon

Working fine here. I installed Win7 on a BootCamp partition first, then pointed Parallels at it...the Parallel tools installed fine. Are you installing the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows7 version?

Cool, tried again tonight and got the tools working.

However...

I've used a bootcamp partition for Parallels but it takes AGES on my macbook pro unibody 17" to boot up windows. I'm talking 3mins or so just to get logged in.

Is that right? Or should it be faster than that?

If I installed via my disk and didn't use bootcamp would it be faster?

Regards,
Simon

I haven't timed mine but it doesn't take anywhere near 3 minutes to come up on my iMac. How much memory do you have total, and how much alloted to the virtual machine?

On my iMac I installed the RC and it was super easy and super quick and installing Parallels Tools was quite easy for me so I don't know what is happening with you.
