I'm really annoyed from parallels selling policy

I' still at parallels 10 site i use it occasionally to test in IE browser

Just got an email that says something like

"While Parallels Desktop 10 will run your virtual machines on MacOS Sierra, you can not access your Windows files with Mac apps and a new installation of Parallels Desktop 10 will not work on MacOS Sierra."

why new installation of Parallels are not suppose ti work but existing one does???

is like a blackmail to yearly upgrade???

any one using VMWARE? how is it, and how is their update policy?

I was using VMWARE Fusion 8.1.1 and they allowed me to upgrade for free to 8.5, which is compatible with Sierra. The older version that I was on would still work with Sierra, though, so that's why I went with VMWARE and not Parallels.

More B.S. planned obsolescence from the Parallels folks. I've dumped their software years ago.

To be fair to Parallels, I used v9 right up till Sierra, so "yearly" might not be accurate.

That said, I only used it because it was a free gift; I have gone back to VMware as they do a better job with external hardware in my experience.
