Hello,

Running High Sierra.

I have Parallels installed (works), and also another
full copy of Windows 10 accessed via Bootcamp.

If I create a document, or do a Download of "something" in the virtual windows Parallels, should
it also show up in the "full Windows" if I use Bootcamp to get to it ?

If so, any caveats as to what might not show up in both ?

Thanks,
Bob

I'm pretty sure that whatever you save in one, won't be saved in the other. Bootcamp is effectively one system, and Parallels is just a virtual machine via OSX but I may be wrong as I've only ever used Bootcamp myself.

You might check to see if Parallels has an option similar to VMware Fusion (which I use) that allows the VM Windows to use the same installation disk image that is already present with BootCamp. Thus, you are actually accessing the same Windows install either booted directly, or with the VM, and any changes made obviously will appear with either access method.

This also saves disk space since you only have a single Windows installation for both BootCamp and the VM.
