I ordered a MBP (see sig for specs) and what I'm really looking forward to is the added bonus of running Windows apps alongside lovely OSX at good speeds. The thing is, I want to use programs such as Acid Pro, Cubase, Reason etc. and I'm really not sure which way to go, ie. Parallels/Bootcamp/Crossover? I'd rather not have to reboot everytime I want to run a music program though (or have to create a seperate partition), but if I have to use Bootcamp, I don't mind.

So basically, I'd like to know if anyone is running demanding music software ok on any of these options and how it runs? does all sound work? can i use a usb midi keyboard ok? do all plugins/vsts work?

Let me know :)

I am currently using boot camp. It is running fine. It is kid of fustrating to reboot all the time. I hoping Leopard will fix that.

As for parallels, I didn't use it because I only have 1 GB of Memory, and I hear you have to share the memory while running Parallels, in other words, if you have 1 GB of memory, while running Parallels you have to decide how you divide up your memory 256 for windows and 768 for os x. I didn't like that I had to run with less memory, and pay $80 for a software that Leopard may have built in next year...

As for Crossover, they have a list of softwares that they say work with crossover, if the software you want to use is not on the list, they say it may not be stable. I checked the list and none of the softwares I wanted to use were on the list, so that was the end for me...;)
