Parallels on MacBook 16" Does Not Open iTunes

I run Windows 10 via Parallels, which is fine for everything else, but it refuses to open iTunes, unless I delete and download it afresh every time. Clicking the iTunes in the dock, I get the 'Opening iTunes' box momentarily, but the app does not load.

Have tried clearing caches, SMC, PRAM, Onyx but no help. I was using the Apple Podcast app until April 2021, then an update refused to permit drag and drop of podcasts to desktop, in order to save. Are there any free podcast apps which actually work on Macs or Windows (via Parallels)? Thanks.

I'm confused. You said you're running Windows, leading me to assume you're speaking about iTunes in Windows. But then you mentioned the Dock, caches, SMC, PRAM, and Onyx, which are all Mac things. If Windows iTunes won't run I think you should be looking at Windows things.

Are you speaking about Mac iTunes or Windows iTunes? Which version of macOS? Which version of Parallels?
