Parallels or VMWare Fusion?

Ok, I know this has probably been asked multiple times but I don't find the search function particularly helpful.

I am getting a Macbook (or Pro) when they are updated so I am starting to look at various bits of software/peripherals I need, and one thing is this ability to run windows on a 2nd display.

Is there one program that's particularly better than any other (i.e. Parallels better than Fusion or visa versa)?

This has been discussed countless times but in my opinion Fusion runs windows a little faster.
